The course features a giant trampoline, climbing walls, slides, a “blast bag” and a challenging balance beam. The aqua park complements Retallack’s three other outdoor water-based experiences: the popular surf machine, FlowRider; 2.0 cable system wake boarding and kayaking. All are open throughout the holiday season and bookable in advance. Mums, dads and grandparents who prefer to stay dry can take advantage of the on-site The Green Room restaurant, serving locally sourced fresh food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Amy Keyter, resort manager at Retallack, said: “We continue to invest in the resort every year by enhancing the experience and creating something different for our guests and locals to enjoy. “The response we have had since the announcement of the park has been amazing, and we can’t wait for Easter and to get people out on it.” The buzz locally has led to over 5,000 new likes for the park’s Facebook page in the last week alone, and Retallack have seen a phenomenal response to a competition to win tickets currently running on social media. Malcolm Bell, head of Visit Cornwall, said: “New openings like this are a great asset to Cornwall, attracting new visitors to the Westcountry. It is extremely important that holiday resorts such as Retallack create new activities and facilities to encourage repeat custom as well as new. “The new aqua park will appeal to a wide audience from young children, to parents and business people looking for their next team-building day out and the team at Visit Cornwall can’t wait to have a go.” Retallack Aqua Park opens on March 25 for Easter.
