The Greenbank itself is cleverly designed so that everywhere you turn you have a view of the waterfront. Whether that is enjoying some pub grub in The Working Boat, treating yourself to cocktails in the bar (I recommend the Brandy Alexander) or dining in the restaurant for breakfast the perfect way to end your stay at the Falmouth four-star. Breakfast is one of my favourite meals of the day and it didn’t disappoint. Treat yourself to anything from the continental breakfast including fresh pastries, toast, cereal or homemade granola yoghurt pots alongside anything from the hot menu to accompany it. For a special Cornish spin on a classic, I recommend the porridge made with Rodda’s cream and honey. Unlike any other Cornish cream tea, this one broke down all traditional boundaries. Forget carrot cake and Victoria sponge and welcome chocolate ganache, homemade truffles and chocolate fudge, and brownies topped with cream. And I haven’t even mentioned the warm fruit and plain scones and selection of sandwiches. It’s a sweet sensation for chocolate lovers. Whether it’s a weekend break, an afternoon tea, a meal at the restaurant or drinks in the bar, there are plenty of reasons to visit.
