What is Gorsedh Kernow? Gorsedh Kernow is a group that promotes the Celtic spirit of Cornwall, encourages the study of Cornish history and language. It is made up of bards, who are recognised for their efforts in promoting the culture. Most of the bards are from Cornwall but others come from around the world to take part and Gorsedh Kernow also provides links with other Celtic countries. What is the Esedhvos Festival? The festival is an annual event held in different locations around Cornwall. The centrepiece of the festival is the bardic ceremony, where 19 new bards will be initiated. There are also many other activities held over four days (listed below) of which most are free.
